Srinagar, Oct 22(KNS): PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has raised concerns over reports that the local administration is pressuring non-local laborers to leave Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Sonamarg, which left seven people dead.

In a social media post, Mufti acknowledged the understandable fear among the laborers but criticized the decision, stating that forcing them to leave would only exacerbate the situation and send a negative message. Mufti called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and ensure that non-local workers are given adequate time to make arrangements. She emphasized that this knee-jerk reaction would only create more difficulties and harm the region’s image(KNS).
