Srinagar, June 07 (KNS): The Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar said that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been placed under house arrest by authorities and will not be allowed to deliver the Friday sermon or offer prayers at Jama Masjid today.

The organization expresses its concern over the continuous efforts to keep him away from his religious duties, it added.(KNS)
