MLA Sajjad Shaheen Distributes Smart Boards to 30 Schools in Banihal–Gool

Banihal, January 08 (KNS): MLA Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen, on Wednesday distributed Digital Smart Boards to 30 Government Higher Secondary and High Schools of the Banihal–Gool constituency under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the year 2025–26.

The distribution programme was held at Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Banihal. The event was attended by Chief Education Officer Ramban, Mohd Sultan Khan, Assistant Director Planning Farooq Ahmed Rahi, officers of the Education Department, school principals, headmasters, teachers, NC functionaries and other stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that education is a key focus of development in the Banihal–Gool constituency. He said the use of digital tools in classrooms will help improve teaching methods and reduce the gap between rural and urban education. He added that Smart Boards will support interactive learning and help students understand concepts better.

“These Smart Boards are meant to support teachers and students in the classroom and to improve the overall learning process,” the MLA said.

He informed that the Smart Boards have been procured under CDF at a cost of ?Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel57 lakh and will be installed in all Government Higher Secondary and High Schools of the Banihal–Gool constituency, ensuring access to digital learning facilities across the area.

The MLA further said that ?31 crore has been secured under various government schemes for infrastructure development of schools in the constituency. The funds will be used for improving school buildings, classrooms, laboratories and other basic facilities. He said several schools, including GHSS Banihal, GHSS Pogal, GHSS Khari, GHS Indh Gool and LHS Bhimdasa, will benefit from these works.

Sajjad Shaheen said efforts are being made to ensure that schools in remote and far-flung areas are equipped with required infrastructure and digital facilities to improve learning outcomes.

He also appreciated the role of the Education Department and teachers and urged school authorities to ensure proper use and upkeep of the Smart Boards.

With ongoing initiatives in education and public infrastructure, the Banihal–Gool constituency continues to witness steady development. (KNS)
