National Conference Is for All, Appoints Hindu Deputy CM from Jammu: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized that the National Conference (NC) is not limited to a single community, stating, "Everyone said that the National Conference was a party of Muslims, that it was an organization for Kashmiris, and that Jammu would have no place. But we made a Deputy CM who is from Jammu and is Hindu. Now what will those people say?"

He also reassured the public that his government will work for all, adding, "From day one, I had said that this government would be for everyone. If we serve, we will serve all the people of Jammu and Kashmir," he said in Jammu party office while addressing supportors during his maiden visit after becoming Chief Minister.

Abdullah acknowledged the tough challenges his party faced over the past decade, stating, "In the last 8-10 years, there wasn’t just an attempt to weaken this party but to completely destroy it.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel" Despite these difficulties, he praised the resilience of party members, saying, "Our comrades were threatened, intimidated, and some were lured, but the leaders of the party remained steadfast and did not let these conspiracies succeed."

He concluded with a message of unity and commitment to the people, noting, "This organization has faced all kinds of storms... I salute the people for how they used their votes." Abdullah also thanked independent candidates who joined his government without conditions, stating, "The independent MLAs who won joined us without any conditions. They only said that the problems of the people must be solved." (KNS)
