Omar Abdullah, Sajad Lone Mourn Demise of Prominent Shia Scholar Allama Agha Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Moosavi

Srinagar, Apr 18 (KNS): The death of renowned Shia scholar and respected cleric, Allama Agha Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Moosavi Al-Najfi of Budgam, has cast a shadow of grief across Jammu and Kashmir, with leaders and followers expressing deep sorrow over the loss.


Known for his vast religious knowledge and commitment to promoting social harmony, Allama Moosavi was a widely loved and influential figure in the region. His passing marks the end of an era for the Shia community and the wider society of Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed profound grief over the scholar’s demise. In a condolence message, he said, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Deeply saddened by the passing of distinguished Shia scholar, cleric, and religious leader Allama Agha Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Moosavi. People’s Conference Chairman Sajad Lone also extended his condolences, stating, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Allama Aga Syed Mohammad Baqir Al-Moosavi Al-Najfi of Budgam. A revered scholar and guide. May Allah SWT elevate his ranks and grant him Jannat al-Firdous (Ameen).”

Allama Moosavi was regarded as a pillar of wisdom and guidance for many in the Shia community and beyond. His teachings and efforts to uphold unity and peace will be remembered with high regard.

Large numbers of people are expected to attend his funeral to pay their final respects. (KNS)
