PDD Division Handwara Prepared to Handle Snowfall Challenges; Appeals for Responsible Energy Use

Handwara, January 1 (KNS): The Power Development Department (PDD), Division Handwara, has assured residents of its readiness to tackle the challenges posed by snowfall this winter with proactive measures in place, the department is committed to ensuring a reliable power supply and efficiently addressing potential disruptions.

Speaking to the media, Executive Engineer (Exn) Er. Mohd Ayoub  of PDD Division Handwara stated, "Man and machinery are on toes to tackle any situation. We have taken all necessary precautions and mobilized resources to ensure a swift response to any power-related issues during the winter season."

The PDD also appealed to consumers for their cooperation in maintaining an uninterrupted power supply during peak hours. Residents are urged to avoid using crude heating appliances, such as electric heaters and boilers, which place undue strain on the power system. Such practices not only disrupt load management but also increase the risk of outages.
