Srinagar, Sept 15 (KNS): Congress Chief Tariq Hameed Karra has emphasized that the party's workers are enthusiastically participating in the ongoing elections in Jammu and Kashmir, not just to address local issues like drains and lanes, but to safeguard their identity and constitutional safeguards.
Karra criticized the BJP government for arbitrarily snatching away the rights of the people of J&K and implementing policies that harm the region.
He also accused the government of launching independent candidates as part of a larger project to divide votes and undermine the opposition.
"the strategy of fielding multiple independent candidates is aimed at cutting down votes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelE.g. ten independent candidates securing 1000 votes each, which would collectively deduct 10,000 votes from the popular parties tally," he said according to KNS correspondent.
However, Karra expressed confidence that Congress workers have understood the designs of the government and are united in their determination to vote in unison to defeat these plans.
He urged the people of J&K to exercise their franchise wisely and safeguard their identity, rights, and interests. (KNS).
