Jammu, Jan 19 (KNS): A toy balloon bearing the logo of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was found in an open field in the border area of Kachriyal in Pallanwala sector of Jammu district on Monday, police said.
Officials said local residents noticed the balloon in Akhnoor tehsil and informed the police, following which a team reached the spot and secured the item.
“A preliminary inspection revealed nothing suspicious.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelNo explosive, hazardous or sensitive material was found, and no threat was detected,” a police official said.
The balloon has been taken into custody for routine verification, the official added.
Police have advised people not to panic, saying there was no cause for concern.(KNS)
