PM Modi, President Murmu Honor Kargil Martyrs on 25th Anniversary

Srinagar, July 26(KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Kargil war martyrs in Dras, commemorating the 25th anniversary of India's victory over Pakistan in the 1999 war

The Prime Minister laid a floral wreath at the Drass War Memorial to honor the soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives during the war.

The date marks the successful conclusion of "Operation Vijay" and is observed annually as 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' to celebrate India's triumph in the Kargil war.

In a statement, she highlighted the significance of the day, which commemorates India's victory over Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil War.

Murmu praised the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation, expressing reverence for their memory and encouraging all citizens to draw inspiration from their courage.

She concluded with a call of "Jai Hind Jai Bharat!"(KNS).
