Srinagar September 19 (KNS): In order to enhance the investigation skills and embed investigation techniques among the investigating officers, Police in Budgam organized 2nd training session on ‘Investigation Techniques’ for investigating officers. The training session was held at conference hall of District Police Headquarters Budgam.
The programme was inaugurated by SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem Khan-JKPS. In his inaugural speech, SSP Budgam stressed the need for professional investigation skills among officers and the significance of such training sessions for enhancing those skills. SSP Budgam emphasised upon IOs to ensure proper collection of evidence under law for ensuring conviction of the accused persons in the cases.
Besides other officers, the event was also attended by ASP Budgam Shri Gowhar Ahmed-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Budgam, SDPO Magam, SDPO Charar-Sharief, SDPO Khansahib, DySP PC Budgam, DySP PC Chadoora, Probationary DySPs, all SHOs and all I/C PPs of district Budgam.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhile Senior Prosecuting officer DPO Budgam Shri Voonesh Sangotra was the speaker on the occasion.
During the session, Senior prosecuting officer DPO Budgam threw light on various legal aspects relating to investigation of UA(P)A, NDPS, Crime against women and other heinous crimes. Speaker laid emphasis on the point that IOs should conduct investigation as per the set parameters of criminal law of land. Moreover, practical knowledge regarding as to how investigation is to be done in UA(P)A, NDPS, Crime against women and other heinous crimes cases was imparted to the participants. Further, special emphasis was laid on the point that during investigation, utmost care must be taken to follow all the SOPs that are paramount for investigation of criminal cases.
While concluding the workshop, ASP Budgam directed all the investigating officers to conduct investigations efficiently so that culprits do not go scot-free due to erratic investigation and stressed for adopting the latest technology standard practices to expedite investigation of cases on merits for judicial determination.(KNS)
