Rain and Snow Expected in J&K, Weather to Improve from March 16


Srinagar, Mar 14 (KNS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted intermittent rain and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir for the next two days, with an expected improvement in weather conditions from March 16 onwards.

According to the latest weather bulletin, light to moderate rain and snowfall (over higher reaches) are likely at most places on March 14 and 15. On March 16, a brief spell of rain or snow is expected at a few locations during the morning, followed by gradual improvement in the afternoon.

The MeT department has issued an advisory for travelers, tourists, and transporters, urging them to adhere to administrative and traffic advisories. Farmers have been advised to suspend all farming activities until March 16 due to possible weather disruptions.

Authorities have also cautioned people against venturing into avalanche-prone and steep slope areas. Additionally, the possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones remains high in vulnerable regions.
