Residents of Aripanthan Beerwah Protest at Premises of Receiving Station, Demand Separate Feeder for Village

 Beerwah, Dec 15(KNS): The residents of Aripanthan village in Beerwah area of Budgam district staged a protest at the premises of the receiving station on Sunday, demanding a separate electric feeder for their village. The protesters,  gathered at the receiving station and raised slogans, demanding that the authorities fulfill their promise of providing a separate feeder for the village.

The residents alleged that at the time of construction of the receiving station, the authorities of the Power Development Department (PDD) had promised them that a separate feeder would be provided for the village. However, they claimed that instead of providing a separate feeder, several other villages have been added to the existing feeder, resulting in acute power shortage and low voltage in Aripanthan.

"We were promised a separate feeder for our village, but instead, the authorities have added several other villages to the existing feeder," said GH Mohammad local resident.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"This has resulted in acute power shortage and low voltage in our village. We are facing immense difficulties due to this.

"We have been requesting the authorities for a separate feeder for several years, but our demands have fallen on deaf ears," said another resident Ab Majeed."

The residents of Aripanthan have been facing power shortage for several years, and the issue has become a major concern for them. They are hoping that their protest will bring attention to their plight and prompt the authorities to take action.

The Residents  urged the authorities to take immediate action to address the issue and provide a separate feeder for the village.(KNS).
