RSETI Bandipora Inaugurates Special Women's Batch in Garment Tailoring

Bandipora, Jan 12 (KNS) ; The Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in north Kashmir's Bandipora district inaugurated a specialised training batch for women in garment tailoring, with senior district officials emphasising skill development as a cornerstone for empowering youth and fostering economic self-reliance.
 
The inaugural event as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) was presided over by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Maqbool and Lead District Manager (LDM) Shameem Ahmad Haji. 
 
In his address, CPO Maqbool underscored the critical role of skill-based training in preparing youth, particularly from rural areas, for a competitive economy. LDM Shameem Ahmad Haji engaged with the trainees, outlining innovative approaches and practical opportunities within the garment industry. He highlighted the sector’s significant market potential and encouraged participants to explore entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues in tailoring and related fields.
 
Trainees participated actively throughout the session, demonstrating keen interest and seeking guidance on establishing their own ventures post-training.
 
 RSETI Director Mohammad Hussain thanked the dignitaries for their presence and motivational insights. CPO Maqbool commended RSETI’s sustained efforts in implementing skill development programmes aimed at uplifting rural youth and enhancing livelihood opportunities across the district. (KNS)
