Kupwara, Dec 8 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) chief, Sajad Lone, has expressed grave concern over the financial crisis in the Kupwara district, highlighting the severe impact on contractors, labourers, and traders in the district.
Lone pointed out that the treasury in Kupwara is running dry, which has led to widespread suffering across various sectors.
In a statement, Lone emphasized that the situation in Kupwara is particularly dire, as it continues to face chronic financial distress, unlike other districts. Lone, who is also the elected Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), lamented the lack of accountability in the current administration, describing it as an "address-less government" with parallel power centers.
He expressed concern at not knowing whom to appeal to for help, but nevertheless urged the Chief Minister and the concerned minister to ensure the immediate release of funds to address the issue and alleviate the suffering of the people in Kupwara. (KNS)
