Sajad Lone Raises Concerns Over Employee Terminations and Economic Disparities

Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNS): MLA Handwara, Sajad Lone, has raised serious concerns over the termination of employees without due process and the economic disparities affecting the valley.

Speaking in the assembly, Lone questioned the fairness of job terminations that took place without giving employees a chance to defend themselves.

"Will there be a review of these terminations? Is there a roadmap to reinstate them? Or will they at least be given an opportunity to defend themselves?" he asked. He urged the government to ensure that employees receive a fair hearing before any action is taken against them.

Lone further emphasized the need for police verification before any termination, stressing that employees should not lose their livelihoods arbitrarily.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Additionally, he highlighted economic concerns, pointing out that financial benefits such as bank bonuses were not being distributed equally despite similar economic indicators. "Our per capita GDP is around 22,000, and theirs is 27,000. Despite this, our people are being deprived of certain financial advantages," he noted.

Lone also raised the issue of domestic violence, urging authorities to take necessary measures to support and protect victims. He called for a structured approach to address these pressing social and economic challenges, ensuring justice for employees and financial fairness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
