Baramulla, October 15 (KNS): In a decisive step to reinforce grassroots policing and strengthen law enforcement mechanisms, SDPO Tangmarg on Tuesday chaired a Sub-Divisional Crime Review Meeting at Police Station Kunzer.

The meeting was attended by Station House Officers and in-charges from all police establishments within the Sub-Division, including PS Kunzer, PS Tangmarg, PS Gulmarg and other affiliated posts.

During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the current crime scenario, operational challenges, and future strategies was undertaken.

Key focus areas discussed included intensifying anti-narcotics operations and NDPS enforcement, expediting investigations and case disposals, identifying and monitoring habitual offenders, enhancing intelligence gathering through community engagement, and ensuring robust law and order preparedness for upcoming social and religious events.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The SDPO Tangmarg directed officers to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and criminal activities, emphasizing that policing must remain people-centric, visible, and ethical at all times.

He further stressed the need for close coordination with civil society, improved response mechanisms, and proactive measures to maintain peace and public safety.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all officers to uphold public trust, ensure timely justice, and continue efforts toward building a crime-free and secure environment in the Sub-Division.(KNS)
