Srinagar, May 01 (KNS): Secretary, Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today chaired Executive Committee meeting of State Health Society, National Health Mission regarding execution of approved activities under State Programme Implementation Plan for FY 2024-25 and release of funds to District Health Societies and other implementing agencies at Conference Hall, NHM Office, Old Secretariat Srinagar.
At the outset, Mission Director NHM, J&K, Nazim Zai Khan welcomed the Secretary and gave detailed power point presentation regarding Action Taken Report on the minutes of previous Executive Committee meeting, approved annual Programme Implementation Plan and budget sheets for 2024-25 and other related agenda points of the meeting. All the agenda points were discussed in detail and all the committee members provided their inputs and participated proactively.
Secretary Health & Medical Education while reviewing the budget allocation for various schemes stressed upon the reducing out of pocket expenditure at public health facilities through proper implementation and availability of funds for various welfare schemes under Maternal & Child Health like RBSK, JSY, JSSK and Free Drugs & Diagnostics by streamlining the financial management and bringing physical discipline in the State Health Society.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Among other decisions, Secretary, H&ME also directed that the existing process of
recruitment at district & UT level should be strengthened in order to bring more
transparency in the system and avoid the litigations. Issues regarding the welfare and
career progression of the NHM employees were also discussed during the meeting so as to attract and retain the trained manpower and prevent the attrition issues especially in remote and far flung areas.
