Srinagar, May 28 (KNS): In a major breakthrough, State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir has arrested a proclaimed offender, Abdul Rashid Mir, a resident of Amargarh, Sopore, who had been evading arrest for the past two years.
Mir was part of a cross-border narco-terror module operating in the Valley. According to officials, narcotics and small arms were smuggled into Sopore by terror operatives of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and further distributed across the Valley, targeting youth.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
During the investigation of FIR No. 19/2022, the SIA has so far arrested eight members of this module. The latest arrest of Mir is seen as a major setback to narco-terror networks, which not only push drugs among youth but also use the proceeds to fund terror activities in the Union Territory.(KNS)
