DGP reviews security preparedness at tri-junction of Doda, Kathua and Udhampur

Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday visited a joint temporary operational base (TOB) established at a strategically important location at the tri-junction of Doda, Kathua and Udhampur districts and reviewed the operational preparedness of joint security forces and the prevailing security situation.

Personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG), Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are deployed jointly at the operational base.

The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Deputy Inspector General of Police, DKR Range, DIG Udhampur-Ramban Range and SSP Doda, among other senior officers.

During the visit, senior officers briefed the DGP on the prevailing security situation, counter-terrorism measures and the operational preparedness of the joint forces deployed in the area.

The meeting also reviewed coordination among different security agencies and measures to further strengthen surveillance, area domination and the security grid in sensitive and strategically important areas.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The officers stressed the need for close coordination among the forces during joint operations, timely sharing of intelligence and continuous monitoring to effectively respond to evolving security challenges.

DGP Prabhat also interacted with personnel deployed at the joint TOB and took stock of their duties, operational preparedness and efforts to maintain security in the area.

He appreciated the alertness, dedication, professionalism and commitment of the personnel serving under challenging conditions.

The DGP directed the security personnel to remain vigilant and maintain close and effective coordination with all concerned agencies to respond promptly to any potential security threat.

He stressed that maintaining a robust security grid in sensitive and strategically important areas was crucial for safeguarding peace and public order.(KNS)
