Srinagar, 14 Aug (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Friday paid obeisance at the historic Asar-e-Sharif Dargah Hazratbal Shrine and reviewed the arrangements being put in place for the auspicious observances of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
He was accompanied by officers from various concerned departments and party’s local unit functionaries on the occasion.
During the visit, Sadiq took stock of the arrangements for the large number of devotees expected to visit the shrine during the sacred days. He directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power supply, adequate availability of clean drinking water, effective sanitation and proper transport facilities to facilitate the smooth movement of devotees.
He stressed that every possible measure must be taken to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience and directed the concerned departments to ensure that all arrangements are operational and closely monitored throughout the period of observance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sadiq also emphasised the need for close coordination among all concerned departments, particularly in view of the large congregations traditionally witnessed at Hazratbal during Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
It may be recalled that from 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal, Khatmat-ul-Muazzamat, Durood-o-Azkar and other spiritually uplifting gatherings will be held continuously at the Hazratbal Shrine for 12 days. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in these religious observances, in keeping with the longstanding tradition associated with the shrine.(KNS)
