Tourist confidence will fully return, Kashmir tourism will rise again: Punjab Governor Kataria

Srinagar, Nov 25 (KNS): Punjab Governor and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria said on Tuesday that tourist confidence in Kashmir will fully return and the tourism sector will rise again.

During his visit to Lal Chowk in Srinagar, Kataria said the area carries a historic place in India’s journey. He said hoisting the national flag at Lal Chowk was once seen as a major challenge. He recalled the yatra undertaken by Murli Manohar Joshi and Narendra Modi from Kanyakumari to Lal Chowk and said he was also part of that journey. He said many people were stopped on the route but those who reached Lal Chowk tried to uphold the pride of the national flag.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Kataria said he was pleased to see the national flag flying at Lal Chowk and said people in Kashmir show respect towards it.

On the tourism sector, the Governor said Jammu & Kashmir saw high tourist arrivals in recent years, which supported local business and economy. According to KNS, He said some recent incidents in Pahalgam and Delhi affected tourist sentiment for a short period.

Kataria said tourism in Jammu & Kashmir will regain its pace and said people across the country wish to visit Lal Chowk due to its historic importance.(KNS)
