Sumbal, June 28 (KNS): Director Urban Local Bodies (ULB) Kashmir visited Sumbal on Friday to review the functioning of the Municipal Committee and inspect key civic facilities, including the Solid Waste Management (SWM) plant.
The Director assessed sanitation services, waste collection systems, and overall municipal functioning. He stressed the importance of effective door-to-door waste collection, proper segregation, and timely disposal to maintain hygiene.
He also inspected arrangements at the Shadipora Transit Camp for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 (SANJY-2025), focusing on sanitation, drinking water, lighting, shelter, and waste disposal for the convenience of pilgrims.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Officials were directed to ensure 24/7 cleanliness at the camp and to deploy sufficient staff and resources during the Yatra.
The visit concluded with the Director interacting with field staff, appreciating their efforts and urging better coordination and public participation for improved urban services and successful Yatra management.(KNS)
