Srinagar, Dec 7 (KNS): The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of 13 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to enhance access to quality education in the region.
In Jammu, the new KVs will be set up in Gool (Ramban), Bani and Ramkote (Kathua), Reasi and Kakriyal Katra, Mughal Maidan (Kishtwar), Gulpur (Poonch), Vijaypur (Samba), and Panchari (Udhampur).
In the Kashmir Valley, KVs are approved for Drugmulla (Kupwara), Ratnipora, and Galander Chandhara (Pulwama).
Jammu and Kashmir has received the highest allocation of KVs among all states and union territories in this announcement.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the initiative, stating:
"Thanks PM Sh @narendramodi ji for giving special consideration to JammuAndKashmir. Union Cabinet approves 13 new KendriyaVidyalayas for different locations across J&K, out of which over 50% fall in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency." (KNS)
