Srinagar, Jan 02 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Monday said they will avenge Rajouri attack in which several civilians lost their lives and that measures will be taken to protect everyone in J&K.
He also met the family members of civilians killed in the attack and expressed his condolences. "We will avenge the Rajouri attack and measures will be taken to protect everyone," he said.
He also addressed public there and assured them all possible help from the administration and the security agencies.
Later, he held a meeting with the Sarpanch, DDC and BDC members and the families of those killed in the attack in Dangri village.
Earlier today, he had announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to the next of kin of each of those civilians killed in the attack.
Four persons were killed and several others were injured on Sunday evening in a militant attack in Dangri village of Rajouri district, while two minor children died and several others were injured in an IED blast that took place near the site on Monday morning. (KNS)
