Slopes Set for Skiing, Heli-Skiing, and Snowboarding

Gulmarg, January 24 (KNS): The famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district has transformed into a pristine white landscape after receiving heavy snowfall. This development has brought cheer to the tourism industry and promises a robust season ahead.
Speaking to the news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Chief Executive Officer of the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA), Tariq Hussain Naik, hailed the timely snowfall as a divine blessing and a fulfilled technological forecast.
"This is the age of technology. We had positive forecasts for substantial snowfall, which we had been awaiting for a long time. Almighty Allah has blessed Gulmarg with this abundance, turning it into the true winter wonderland it is known as," Naik said.
The GDA CEO said the dual significance of the snowfall. "This timely and adequate snow is not just a booster for tourist arrivals but is also vital for the water resources of the entire Kashmir region," he told KNS.
Naik stated that the administration's top priority is to ensure tourist convenience.

The CEO added, "No effort will be spared to make Gulmarg a disciplined, world-class tourism destination. All departments are working in synergy to regulate winter services for our guests."
He also appealed to tourists, urging them to adhere to official advisories for a safe and peaceful experience.
CEO Tariq stated, "The first month of 2026 has seen footfall return to normal in the valley. This is a positive sign and a happy moment for our entire tourism sector."
He further added, "We are ready to welcome global tourists. With this snow, our skiing slopes, snowboarding, and heli-skiing facilities are all set. We expect visitors from across the world to have an awesome, mind-blowing experience in Gulmarg." (KNS)
