Srinagar, Jan 4 (KNS): Four soldiers lost their lives, and two others sustained critical injuries in a tragic accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday.
Officials said the incident occurred in the SK Payeen area when an army vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
A rescue operation was launched immediately, and the injured personnel were rushed to a local hospital before being referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Medical Superintendent of Bandipora Hospital, Dr. Masarat, said that six army personnel were brought to the facility. "Two were declared dead on arrival, while three others were referred to Srinagar. Unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to four," the official said.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. (KNS)
