Srinagar, Nov 30(KNS): Inspector General of Police Traffic J&K, M. Suleman Choudhary, Holds Review Meeting on Traffic Management in Jammu City with Senior Officers
During the meeting, the IGP Traffic J&K reviewed feedback from officers regarding major traffic congestion points and the reasons behind them.
He directed all officers to conduct a thorough study of traffic patterns, especially during peak hours, and adjust traffic regulations as needed in their respective areas.
The IGP Traffic J&K emphasized the launch of special enforcement drives targeting underage drivers and those driving under the influence of alcohol.
He also urged officers to make effective use of electronic gadgets, such as speed radar guns and breath analyzers, and utilize interceptor vehicles for strict enforcement of traffic rules.
Officers were advised to maintain a visible presence on the roads during peak hours to ensure safety and discipline. The IGP Traffic J&K instructed officers to make the necessary preparations to manage the anticipated surge in traffic and maintain order during this period.
