Cyber awareness programme held at Shahi Hamdan School, Bemina

Srinagar Dec 31 (KNS): Cyber Crime Investigation Centre of Excellence (CICE), Crime Branch Kashmir, conducted a cyber awareness programme at Shahi Hamdan School, Khumani Chowk, Bemina, in district Budgam. During the programme, participating students and faculty members were informed about possible loopholes in their communication devices that cyber criminals or fraudsters may exploit to commit cybercrimes.

The participants were educated about various cyber crime reporting portals and helpline numbers for reporting such incidents in the future.

The initial talk during the programme was delivered by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (SHO), CICE Srinagar, Mr. Ashiq Hussain Malik, followed by a detailed PowerPoint presentation by Inspector Masroor Ahmad and SGCt Javid Ahmad.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The speakers, besides imparting basic knowledge about day-to-day cybercrime incidents, also briefed the participants on ways to prevent themselves from such crimes in the future.

More than 200 participants actively engaged with the speakers and sought responses during the question-and-answer session of the programme.

The principal of the institution, Aijaz Ahmad Baba, hailed the efforts of the CICE Srinagar team and conveyed a note of thanks to the head of the department for conducting such a programme at their institution. (KNS)
