2nd Batch of Kashmiri Students Returns from Protest-Hit Iran, Flight to Reach Delhi Around Midnight

Second batch of Kashmiri students stranded in Iran is returning home, with their flight expected to land at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, around midnight today, the Parents Association in Srinagar said.
 
As per details Dozens of Kashmiri medical students departed Iran today on a Mahan Air commercial flight amid ongoing protests and restrictions in the country. Several Indian nationals, including these students, are arriving in New Delhi as universities and colleges in Iran remain closed.
 
The returning students are enrolled at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan University, Golestan University, Shiraz University, and Arak University.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe Iranian Health Ministry has postponed comprehensive exams for basic sciences, pre-internship, and other courses, now scheduled for March 4, 2026. Students reported limited internet access and continuing evening restrictions in Tehran.
 
Parents Association expressed gratitude to Nibraska Consultancy, Umer Ahmad, Ubaid Bashir, Dr Mohammad Younus Bhat, Dr Momin, and Nasir Khemoni, for providing updates and support over the past two weeks. 
 
“We are relieved that the second batch of students is returning safely. We thank Mr Umer, his team in Tehran for their support and guidance during this period.” said Maqsood Ahmad of parents association Srinagar.
