BUDGAM, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a meeting of the District Telecom Committee (DTC) to review issues related to the installation of mobile towers and overall telecom infrastructure development in the district.
The meeting focused on addressing public grievances, streamlining inter-departmental coordination, and facilitating the expeditious implementation of telecom projects, including the USOF 4G Saturation Project in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of robust telecom connectivity for governance, emergency services, education and economic activities. He directed all concerned departments to extend timely clearances and cooperation to telecom service providers, while strictly adhering to safety, environmental and regulatory norms.
The DC reiterated that the District Telecom Committee shall act as a single-window coordination mechanism to resolve public grievances related to mobile tower installations and other telecom-related issues.

The DC stressed that all departments must work in close coordination to ensure the timely completion of telecom infrastructure projects, especially in unserved and underserved areas of the district, thereby improving digital connectivity and public service delivery.
The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam; SE, PWD Budgam; CPO budgam, CMO Budgam, ADG (LSA), J&K, DoT; XEN, PDD Budgam; DFO Budgam, DySP HQ; DO, PCB Budgam; DIO, NIC Budgam and representative of ULB /Development Authority.
