Srinagar, Sep 21 (KNS): A deputy superintendent of Police Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq was arrested by the Srinagar police on Thursday on multiple charges.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) the arrest was followed by a search conducted at his residence near BSNL exchange Sanathnagar Srinagar earlier in the week, during which documents, a laptop, and other electronic devices were seized.
“The charges against him include sections 167, 193, 201, 210, 218, 221 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 7 and 7A of the Corruption Act.”
The official said that further investigation is going on. (KNS)
