Srinagar, Nov 11(KNS): Mughal Road, which connects South Kashmir with the Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu's Pir Panjal region, was closed to vehicular traffic on Monday evening following fresh snowfall in the higher reaches.
Officials reported that the wet weather prompted the closure, with 2 inches of snow recorded at Peer Ki Gali. Authorities have announced that no vehicular traffic will be permitted on the Mughal Road until the weather improves and the route is cleared of snow and debris.
The weatherman has forecasted continued adverse weather conditions for Jammu and Kashmir, including rain and light snowfall in the higher reaches, for the next 24 hours due to the influence of a western disturbance.(KNS).
