In early 2023, Justice Sreedharan had requested relocation, citing concerns over a potential conflict of interest as his elder daughter was beginning her legal practice and would be appearing before the Indore Bench of the High Court and the District Court. Recognizing his concerns, the Collegium recommended his transfer to the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court on March 28, 2023.

Born on May 24, 1966, Justice Atul Sreedharan started his legal career in 1992 after earning his law degree. He initially trained under Senior Advocate Gopal Subramanium before practicing independently in Delhi and later in Indore. With expertise in criminal, civil, and service law, he represented both government and private entities.

Having served as a judge in the Madhya Pradesh High Court for nearly seven years, Justice Sreedharan was transferred to Jammu & Kashmir in 2023. His tenure in the region was marked by several notable judgments. Now, with his return to Madhya Pradesh, he is set to continue his judicial responsibilities in his parent High Court.(KNS)
