BARAMULLA, Oct 7 (KNS): The Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla organised a two-day CPR and first aid training programme in collaboration with Help Humans to equip students with basic emergency response and life-saving skills.
The programme was held on October 6 and 7 at the college auditorium, with more than 80 students from the Department of Psychology participating.
The training was conducted by Master Trainer Dr Itinder Singh Bali, who provided practical sessions on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), emergency response and basic first aid.
The interactive sessions included demonstrations and hands-on practice, enabling students to learn techniques for responding to medical emergencies and accidents.
The programme was coordinated by Help Humans Programme Head Ms Neefiya Aslam and her team, while Dr Ashiq Hussain War and Dr Shar Un Nisa Haroon coordinated the programme from the college.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The training was organised under the guidance of Dr Kaiser Ahmad Dar, Head of the Department of Psychology, GDC Baramulla.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dar stressed the importance of basic CPR and first aid skills for students, saying such training can help them respond confidently and responsibly during emergencies.
He also appreciated Help Humans for conducting the training programme.
The programme concluded with appreciation for the trainers, organisers, faculty members and students for their participation.
The initiative reflected the college's focus on practical skill development, student welfare, community service and emergency preparedness.
