Handwara village lacks road connectivity for 60 years

Handwara, Dec 6 (KNS): The Helmet village Cheerkote-Dingree, home to 40 households, remains the only area in Tehsil Villagam without proper road access, despite being isolated for the last sixty years.

Prominent social worker Syed Ghulam Rubbani said that during fire incidents, the village could not receive fire and emergency service vehicles due to the lack of road connectivity, resulting in one house gutted in a recent fire incident.

The Nalah Vijeyy, located between Cheerkote and the Hamlet, lacks a bridge, and a narrow road from Dingri Bala is the only connection, which is impassable for vehicles.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Despite repeated requests to the administration for the construction of a bridge, no action has been taken.

Syed Ghulam Rubbani urge the authorities to prioritize the construction of the bridge on humanitarian grounds to prevent further hardship and avoid any potential incidents.(KNS).
