Pune, January 11 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, stated that India's enduring strength is founded not merely on military might, but on the emotional integration of its border regions with the national mainstream.

Speaking at the Ladakh Festival and Kargil Gaurav National Awards 2025, the Lieutenant Governor—according to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS)—said that national security must transcend military preparedness to encompass the psychological and emotional unity of the nation.

“While our gallant armed forces stand sentinel over our physical frontiers, it is our institutions, civil society, and every citizen who must safeguard the nation’s emotional and psychological borders,” LG Gupta said. He underscored that sustainable peace and unity are attainable only when communities in border areas feel an inseparable bond with the rest of the country.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted a historic transformation in India’s approach to border security and regional development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He credited this shift to a comprehensive strategy encompassing enhanced operational preparedness, military modernization, and the overarching ‘Nation First’ doctrine.

This vision, he stated, has been substantiated through significant improvements in infrastructure, connectivity, and welfare measures for defence personnel—developments that have tangibly benefited frontier regions like Ladakh.

LG Gupta called upon all citizens to actively contribute to the causes of national unity and security, describing them as a shared responsibility pivotal to realizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. (KNS)
