The Indian Army celebrated the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day at Drugmulla in Kupwara district on Tuesday to honour the invaluable service and sacrifices of military veterans. The day is observed every year on January 14 to commemorate the superannuation of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces.

The event was organised by the Indian Army, with Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shri Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several senior civil and military officials, ex-servicemen, Veer Matas, Veer Naris, and gallantry awardees were also present.
