Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): The newly elected government in Jammu and Kashmir introduced its first bill in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, representing Finance Minister Omar Abdullah, presented the Jammu & Kashmir Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill-2025 in the House after the Question Hour.

J&K’s legislative powers were exercised by the Parliament following the imposition of central rule in 2018. With the restoration of the Assembly, the elected government has now taken up legislative matters independently. (KNS)
