JK People's Party Chief Sheeban Ashai questions delay on AIIMS Kashmir project

Srinagar, Nov 11(KNS): Questioning present Government over failure to meet deadline in AIIMS Kashmir project, JK People's Party Chief Sheeban Ashai censured lackadaisical approach of those at helm.

A landmark project aimed to enhance healthcare services is delayed courtesy historic insouciance, callous approach of administration. Ashai said, " Project that was supposed to see completion in January is set to be completed by June 2025, why do such delays occur only in Kashmir. It seems they want to bring back an era of post 1987, 1996 style of functioning where those at helm were busy looting public coffers and administration was neck deep in corruption.

This is what happens in a system where there is absolute despise for any kind of merit or proficiency. When both projects started around same time how is that Jammu AIIMS has already been fully functional for more than a year? Despite challanges AIIMS Jammu was completed in record time, was awarded 'Best Project' on 170th Central Public Works Department Annual Day. Project which was supposed to augment health care potential of Kashmir division by adding 1000 beds, 300 super-speciality beds, one medical and a nursing college is facing one delay after another.

Ashai questioned Agha Ruhullah Member Parliament from Srinagar to oversee languishing projects in all five districts of Srinagar Lok Sabha. Why is that there is a huge gap in sanctioning projects, disbursing funds between Lok Sabha Srinagar and North Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPolitical differences aside clearly MP in North over last two months extensively toured his area, assessed ground situation while as MP's of NC- Farooq faction hardly find time to take stock of things at ground zero. Ashai challenged Ruhullah to put forth his six months report card in public donian. What happened in Barsoo Awantipora killing case Ashai asked Ruhullah?  Tweets on micro blogging websites dont solve people's issues, he strongly reprimanded NC-Farooq that things have changed and this is not Kashmir of 1996. Gone are those days; era of loot is never coming back, people are cognizant enough in today's time and everyone is silently monitoring your every move. If you dont mend your ways and continue to hoodwink; toy with sentiments and aspirations of citizens of Jammu Kashmir, a far worse political fate than PDP awaits you in near future.

All talk and no work administration, nonchalant- uncaring public representatives would not be tolerated by common masses anymore. You have been awarded an opportunity either prove your worth or make way for competent ones, politics of Kashmir would now be merit based". JK People's Party top brass excoriated delays in vital All India institute of medical sciences project at Awantipora, exhorted elected representatives to work for good of common masses.(KNS).
