Kashmir to Observe Shab-e-Meraj with Devotion and Reverence

Srinagar, Jan 27 (KNS): People across Kashmir to observe Shab-e-Meraj tonight with great religious fervor and sanctity. Special prayers will be held in mosques throughout the valley as believers seek the mercy and forgiveness of Allah Almighty. 


The night marks the 27th night of Rajab, a significant occasion in Islam, commemorating the miraculous night journey (Isra) and ascension (Miraj) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the heavens.

On this auspicious night people will gather at mosques for congregational prayers, offering supplications and seeking Allah’s blessings. Religious scholars will deliver sermons highlighting the importance of Shab-e-Meraj, reflecting on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the profound significance of this event in Islamic history. The teachings emphasize spiritual elevation, devotion, and the closeness of the Prophet (PBUH) to Allah, as well as the moral and ethical lessons for Muslims to follow.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

In addition to prayers, special Mahafil-e-Naat (gatherings to honor the Prophet) will be organized at various venues, where people will come together to recite praises and blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Homes, mosques, and streets in Kashmir have been adorned with colorful lights, candles, and buntings, creating a festive atmosphere to mark the occasion.

The biggest congregation for Shab-e-Meraj will be held at Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, where thousands of devotees will gather for night-long prayers. 

As Kashmir observes this sacred night, prayers for peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth will be offered, with Muslims reflecting on the lessons of compassion, humility, and faith that Shab-e-Meraj brings. (KNS)
