Kuldeep Kashmiri Honoured with ‘Rashtriya Pratibha Samman’ 2025 by Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samiti

New Delhi, April 09 (KNS) In a solemn and inspiring ceremony held at the MP Club, South Avenue, New Delhi, Kuldeep Kashmiri was conferred the prestigious ‘Rashtriya Pratibha Samman’ 2025 by the Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samiti on the occasion of its 21st Sthapana Diwas.

 
The event was presided over by Retired Lieutenant General A.S. Rawat and attended by a distinguished gathering of intellectuals, writers, journalists, social activists, and cultural figures from across the country — from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
 
Kuldeep Kashmiri received the award in recognition of his powerful book “Silent Cries”, which poignantly captures the unheard anguish of exiled Kashmiri Pandits and for his unwavering activism in the service of society.
 
Dr. Surya Prakash Semwal, Chief of Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samiti, while speaking at the function, appreciated the literary and social contribution of Kuldeep Kashmiri. He shared that he had read Silent Cries with deep interest and sensitivity and assured the author that he and his organisation would take every possible step towards the welfare of the people who are in exile in their own country.
 
Addressing the audience, Kuldeep Kashmiri passionately spoke about the 36 year long exile of the Kashmiri Pandit community, highlighting their unending pain, displacement and the struggle for dignity and justice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe urged those present to raise the voice of the community in their respective spheres and appealed for national empathy and support.
 
He expressed hope that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take concrete steps to alleviate the community’s suffering, restoring their faith in justice and motherland.
 
“The flame of hope is still alive in the hearts of exiled Kashmiri Pandits,” he said. We look forward to a future where truth and justice prevail.
 
The book Silent Cries became the focal point of the convention, with almost every speaker referencing the plight of the community and the evocative narrative presented in the book.
 
Ravinder Koul, who accompanied Kuldeep Kashmiri, was also warmly welcomed and honoured with the ‘Atithi Samman’ memento, acknowledging his support and presence.
 
The function served as a platform to unite voices for justice, cultural preservation, and human dignity, echoing the cause of the displaced with a renewed commitment.(KNS)
