Congress Insiders Slam Anwar Bhat, Call Him a Product of Lobbyism and Factionalism

Srinagar, Mar 6 (KNS): Congress insiders have strongly criticized self-styled party leader Mohd Anwar Bhat, accusing him of being a product of lobbyism with no electoral achievement or meaningful contribution to the party.

Reacting sharply to Bhat’s recent media interaction at his Kakapora residence—where media personnel were allegedly transported from Srinagar to criticize the Congress leadership—party insiders questioned his relevance in the organization. They termed Bhat’s political journey as rooted in factionalism and confusion, saying his only aim has been to project himself as a leader despite repeated failures.

"Bhat has contested several elections since 1996 but has never won even once. He couldn't even save his security deposits," a senior Congress member said. "Instead of accepting his failures, he has constantly tried to create internal rifts and target senior leaders, often at the behest of his old masters who themselves rose by engineering factionalism within the party.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"

They further said that Bhat's continued attempts to remain in the limelight are based on notoriety and deception. “His credibility is questionable, and his past actions have been disappointing,” they added.

The leaders also hit out at Aga Farooq, a retired government employee, who reportedly targeted the party leadership. "He is not even a basic member of Congress and did not cast his vote during the last assembly elections. In fact, he worked against the official party candidate in Tral," they said.

Calling on both individuals to reflect on their failures, the insiders advised Bhat to prove his relevance in local elections like Panchayats before making tall claims about his seniority in the party. (KNS)
