Kupwara, Apr 17 (KNS): The district of Kupwara has been selected for the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2024. The district earned this honour in the category of 'Holistic Development of Districts', recognizing its significant strides in governance and development.

The award, which highlights exceptional achievements in public administration, will be presented by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India during the Civil Services Day celebrations scheduled to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on April 21, 2025.

The letter conveys the Centre’s appreciation for the remarkable work done by the district administration in improving public service delivery and implementing development initiatives.

The DC Kupwara has been invited to attend the event in New Delhi and to receive the award on behalf of the district.

This award is seen as a testimony to the collaborative efforts of the district administration, local bodies, and the community, who have worked collectively towards making Kupwara a model of good governance and inclusive growth.
