Langate Constituency Suffers as BDO Posts Remain Vacant

Langate, July 25 (KNS):Residents of Langate constituency are facing serious inconvenience due to the continued vacancy of key administrative posts. As per reports, the Block Development Officer (BDO) posts in Langate, Qaziabad Kargund, and Mawer Qalamabad, blocks have been lying vacant for the past two weeks, with no interim arrangements made by the authorities.

Locals say the absence of BDOs is badly affecting developmental work, grievance redressal, and official correspondence in these areas. “There is no one to process files or approve basic works. People are forced to visit district headquarters for minor issues,” said a resident from Qalamabad.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

What has angered the people even more is that the Member of Parliament (MP), Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), and District Development Council (DDC) Chairman—all belong to the same constituency. Despite this, there has been no urgency shown in filling these crucial administrative posts.

“This shows the neglect of grassroots governance. Without BDOs, nothing moves on the ground,” said another local from Qaziabad.

The residents have urged the government to intervene and fill the vacant BDO posts immediately to ensure smooth public service delivery and avoid further disruption to ongoing and planned development works. (KNS)
