LG Manoj Sinha Hails Union Budget 2025-26 as a ‘Pragmatic’ Step Towards Viksit Bharat

Srinagar, Feb 1 (KN) Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has lauded the Union Budget 2025-26, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, as a pragmatic and visionary step towards a developed India. 

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the government's focus on economic growth, tax relief, and transformative reforms across multiple sectors.

“My heartfelt thanks to Hon'ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji for a pragmatic Budget for Viksit Bharat. Grateful to Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji for putting the economy on a fast-track and bold development initiatives for the poor, youth, farmers, and women,” wrote LG Sinha.

He highlighted the significant relief provided to the middle class through the revised tax rate structure, terming it a “historic move” aimed at improving their lives. “The Budget 2025-26 reflects India's growing aspiration for accelerated growth and to stimulate private sector investments. The focus on agricultural growth with various initiatives including the Agri District Programme seeks to translate the vision of rural prosperity and social equity,” he added.

LG Sinha also emphasized India's position as the fastest-growing major global economy, stating that the budget will provide a further boost to key sectors such as infrastructure, MSMEs, energy, and innovation. He underscored the employment generation potential of the budget and its transformative impact on inclusive and sustainable growth.

“India is the fastest-growing among all major global economies, and this budget will further boost the infrastructure sector, MSMEs, energy sector, innovation, employment generation, and push transformative reforms in key sectors for more inclusive and more sustainable growth,” he concluded. (KNS)
