Srinagar, Nov 26(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid homage to the victims and security personnel who lost their lives in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack on its 16th anniversary.
In a message posted on social media, the Lt Governor said the nation remembers the lives lost in the coordinated attacks and remains indebted to the security forces who laid down their lives while confronting the terrorists.
“Heartfelt tributes to all those who lost their lives in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. The nation will forever remain grateful to our Braveheart security personnel who fought valiantly and made the supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and integrity of our motherland,” the Lt Governor wrote.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The 26/11 attacks on November 26, 2008, left more than 160 people dead and hundreds injured when heavily armed militants targeted multiple locations across Mumbai.
Security personnel, including National Security Guard commandos and Mumbai Police, carried out extended operations before neutralising the terrorists.
According to KNS, Nationwide tributes were paid today to mark the anniversary, with leaders recalling the loss of civilian lives and acknowledging the role of the security forces who responded to the attack.(KNS)
