LG Sinha honours Veer Savarkar at Delhi award ceremony

New Delhi, December 10(KNS): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Wednesday paid tribute to Veer Savarkar, calling him a “valiant son of Mother India” whose life was dedicated to the freedom and development of the country.

Speaking at the ‘Veer Savarkar International Impact Award’ organised by High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) in New Delhi, Sinha said that today, Indians are working towards creating a strong, self-reliant, and developed nation in line with Savarkar’s vision.

The Lieutenant Governor commended HRDS India for highlighting Savarkar’s contributions and restoring his legacy in the collective consciousness of citizens.

He recalled Savarkar’s lifelong campaigns and his role in India’s freedom struggle, describing him as a symbol of the country’s strength, prosperity, perseverance, culture, and dreams.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sinha said the national movement, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Panch Pran’, would help realise Savarkar’s vision.

He emphasised countering false narratives to protect historical truth and uphold national pride.

The Lieutenant Governor also felicitated the award winners for their contribution to society and nation-building, urging them to guide humanity towards peace, progress, and prosperity. He said the award sends a message to reclaim India’s ancient glory and work towards achieving the goal of a developed nation by 2047.

Swami Atma Nambi, President of HRDS India; Dr S. Krishna Kumar, Chairman Emeritus; K.G. Venugopal, Vice President; Aji Krishnan, Founder-Secretary, and other members of HRDS India, along with prominent citizens, attended the ceremony.(KNS).
