Emphasizes Spiritual Significance and Security Preparedness
JAMMU, JULY 27 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday addressed the inaugural session of the Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu and extended his greetings to devotees and all stakeholders involved in the pilgrimage’s arrangements.
The first batch of the yatra will set off at 6 AM on July 28 from Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar, marking the beginning of the spiritual journey to the sacred Budha Amarnath Ji Temple in Poonch.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the profound spiritual importance of the pilgrimage and said, “The sacred pilgrimage to Budha Amarnath Ji Temple at Poonch has great spiritual significance. I welcome devotees from across the country to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva.”
He praised the collective efforts of Divisional Commissioner, Tourism Department, District and Police Administration, and all related departments for ensuring a safe, comfortable, and seamless pilgrimage.
“The administration, J&K Police, and security forces are fully committed to ensuring a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage,” LG Sinha said. He added that over 3.77 lakh devotees have already participated in the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

This legacy of peace, unity, and ancient wisdom must be passed on to the younger generation,” he added.
LG Sinha also paid homage to the innocent civilians killed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in Pahalgam and reiterated the administration’s resolve. “Operation Sindoor is ongoing. Our police, security forces, and administration are determined to defeat the designs of the enemy,” he said.
The event was graced by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rameshwar Das; Milind Parande, Organising General Secretary VHP; Pawan Kumar Kohli, President Baba Amarnath & Budha Amarnath Yatri Niyas; Shri Rajesh Gupta, VHP President (J&K and Ladakh); Neeraj Douneriya, National Convenor Bajrang Dal; and several other religious leaders and social activists.
