Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed has raised concerns about illegal stone crushers in the Langate, prompting the Deputy Chief Minister to assure strict action against unlawful units.
During a question session in the Legislative Assembly, the MLA sought details about the setting up of a stone crusher, hot mix plant, and construction base at Kralgund Qaziabad Langate. In response, the Mining Department referred to Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Board’s S.O. 60 of 2021, which requires these units to get a “Consent to Operate” and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Deputy Commissioner for land verification.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara stated that 5 kanals of state land (Survey No. 5/33, 35) had been identified for a temporary batching plant, bitumen plant, and storage facility to speed up the RKCTC road project, a national priority under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
