MLA Langate, Others Congratulate New District President

 Kupwara, Nov 21(KNS): The Sheep and Wool Workers Association of Jammu and Kashmir conducted elections for non-gazetted officials to select the District President for Kupwara.

Mohammad Afzal Shiekh was elected to the position under the supervision of the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kupwara.

The election, held on Thursday, marks an important organizational step for the association.

Following his election, Mohammad Afzal Shiekh expressed his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities effectively in his new role.

As District President, he will represent non-gazetted employees and work to enhance sheep and wool development efforts in the district.

The Sheep Husbandry Department in Jammu and Kashmir focuses on increasing mutton and wool production, providing livestock health services, and generating employment opportunities.

With Shiekh now leading the association in Kupwara, efforts are expected to align with these objectives to further the development of the sector.(KNS).
